Description
The Dodeca Ring has a 12-sided ‘dodecagon’ shape, both inside and out. There is a reason for it. On the inside, the faceted corners provide extra breathing room for the skin around the finger. The unique shape, while still maintaining proper ring size and retention, inherently has some reserve volume to it. When compared to a traditional round ring of the same size, the Dodeca gives a more comfortable fit throughout the day, and is also more forgiving to remove, if you ever want to take it off.
This is a small run of Dodeca’s that I made using ‘Maple Valley’ Richlite. This phenolic/paper thermoset material is very strong, yet still has an organic feel to it. I first CNC-machine these using a special workholding process, and then I hand finish each ring individually. The rings are given a coat of Tru-Oil and then once dry, they are given a final hand-rub of beeswax. These particular pieces also have been flame-toasted to give them a darker outer skin that transitions into the lighter maple color.
The Wide Band style in sizes 12.0 / 12.5 / 13.0 are initially available, or any size from 5.0 – 13.0 can be custom ordered with an approximate 1 – 2 week delivery. Please message me to let me know what size that you wish to custom order.
The Dodeca’s sizing fits true to US ring size standards in a ‘comfort ring’. Please know your correct ring size before ordering. Exchanges can be difficult due to limited availability in these custom runs.
