ProKraft, 4 Piece Limited Edition:
This is a limited, special “one-off” run of only 4 Pieces. Each piece comes with its aluminum engraved serial number card marked “2026 LE, 1 of 4” through “2026 LE, 4 of 4″ (no SN’s marked on the blade). I will ship the knives in this same order, as they are sold.
I designed this blade several years ago to be a high-end craft knife. The compact handle style allows the knife to be held in several different grip positions, while the specialized edge is purposed for slicing and precision cutting along a straight edge, a template, or to scrape a flat surface.
The ProKraft has a Kiridashi style, single-beveled chisel edge. The left side is completely flat and has a fine tumbled finish. The edge on this side has no bevel at all. It has only been stropped to remove the sharpening burr. The beveled (right) side has a tall 10° secondary bevel which has been precisely ground to .010″ behind the edge. And the sharpened edge itself has a very acute 25 degree (included) apex. The stainless AEB-L blade steel is very tough due to its fine-grained structure, and it is a perfect match to support the finely ground edge of the ProKraft.
The handle and matching sheath inlay material is Burl Canvas/Linen Micarta, showing a random mix of yellow, brown and black colors. The substrate sheath material is Black Diamond Richlite. All hand-finished and buffed with beeswax.
The unique sheath is also a custom design, having a magnetic area in the center that retains the blade. The blade is nested on all of its sides and the edge is covered safe. A set of N52 disc magnets can be accessed and adjusted in strength by removing a cover from the back side. The open design of the sheath attractively shows off the blade when worn on a belt. Although originally designed to be a craft knife, the blade design and magnetic belt sheath lend themselves to EDC use as well.
As seen in the product photos, each of these comes with a bench stand that the sheath can attach to via the belt clip. Using the stand allows the ProKraft to be displayed right on your nightstand, table, or workbench, keeping it always available for use.
The overall length of the knife is 5-1/2″. The longitudinal length of the blade is 2-1/16″, but the angled Kiridashi profile gives an actual edge length of 2-3/8″. The blade stock thickness is 7/64″ with a tolerance of +.005/-.000”. The flat side has a 400 ground and medium tumbled finish. The bevel is hand ground at 400, the entire right-side flat is finished to 600 in the longitudinal direction, and then the surfaces are given a fine-satin tumble operation before sharpening and assembly. All fasteners (handle and sheath) fit a Torx T15 bit. This offset knife design is made for right-handed use.
